FRIDAY FAVES: 4/12/2019

Hey everyone! We have had a busy week here at OSG. We are plugging away at our One of a Kind collection with Emily Roggenburk, we announced my pregnancy, and we are working on some other top secret projects that we will hopefully be sharing with you soon!

Thank you all for your outpour of support. We feel so loved and excited about the new personal and professional chapters that we are writing, and we are so thankful to have you here for the journey.

Here are this week’s faves. As always, click a photo to be taken to its source!

Ally:

Walter has the most fun and colorful socks and I always steal them, so I should probably just start buying my own. I have hot dogs on the brain this week, and though I haven’t had one - I have a feeling we will be firing up the grill this weekend.

I have been listening to Dayglow’s release Fuzzybrain this week and it’s super fun and bedroom poppy. It is giving me energy without getting me too worked up, which is exactly what I am looking for in music lately. Love it!

I eat SO MANY cara cara navels. They are my absolute favorite fruit and they are in season right now, but won’t be for much longer. Go grab a bag and eat them nonstop. I’ll be dropping a recipe for a cara cara sorbet that I make on the blog here soon, so keep an eye out for that as well.

Okay, I promised myself over and over that I will never become a “mommy mom” whose entire identity is her children and sacrifices all of her personality for them. But…one baby piece won’t hurt, right? I bought this winter coat for Percy (short for person, what we are calling the baby until we find out the sex)?! I die. Etsy vintage shopping all day, honey.

A couple of girlfriends and I went to Miss Hickory’s Tea Room in Strongsville last week and it was so much fun! It felt so cute to be fancy and eat tiny sandwiches and drink (decaf) tea. I am on the lookout for more places to have high tea, so let me know your recommendations!

Caroline:

I have been bringing this small Windsor & Newton watercolor set with me everywhere and it is amazing. It is such a good travel set and so easy to whip out on a whim if you are out in public and want to do a few quick sketches.

Can the weather right now be one of my Friday Faves? Because it is PERFECTION. All of the windows are open and it is the perfect temperature and SO breezy. Ugh just heavenly.

Did you know that the North Olmsted Rec Center has a year round indoor ice rink? They have open skate hours 7 days per week and during the week NO ONE else is there (well except you might see me and my daughters). I did a monthly membership because you don’t have to be a resident and for $45/month to be able to use everything the Rec center has to offer plus open skate and skate rental for my entire family is such a steal. We have honestly been going about 2 times per week and then signed my 4 year old up for lessons. Even my 18 month old has mastered staying upright on her skates which is UNREAL.

I absolutely love Tyler Spangler’s unique use of color. This piece is just so cool!

I haven’t been wearing my engagement ring for some time mostly because I don’t trust myself to not bump my hand into stuff on a daily basis. So it is safely stored away under lock and key. But I would like something for my left hand that isn’t obtrusive that is connected to my husband and my daughters. I love the idea of the coordinates and want to get one with Hocking Hills coordinates (where we eloped - that story is coming soon for our 6 year anniversary!) and one for St. John Medical Center (where both of my daughters were born).

That’s all for this week! Check back next week for more! Enjoy your weekend babes!
