Caroline's Favorite Natural Skin Care Products

I have always steered clear of skincare products and moisturizers because I tend to have very sensitive skin and even unscented products left my skin feeling tingly and burning. And not in a good way (but more about that later). That is until Ally told me about Herbivore Botanicals Orchid oil.

The first thing I noticed about the orchid oil is the SMELL. It is absolutely, hands down the most incredible smell in the entire world. It also feels amazing on your skin. It is deeply moisturizing but soaks in quickly without leaving your skin feeling oily. I was worried initially that moisturizing with a facial oil would lead to breakouts but I found my skin was clearer and my pores smaller after consistently using the oil every night.

After using the orchid oil for a couple months I decided to try their Pink Cloud rosewater moisture creme. I was NOT disappointed. I am scraping the barrel on this jar and dreading the day I run out. It is this beautiful whipped consistency that feels amazing going on and soaks in super quickly. I alternate, with no real rhyme or reason, between my facial oils (more below) and the Pink Cloud. It’s really whatever I am feeling that day before bed.

Next I ordered Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask and this is where I get into the good kind of burning and tingling. This stuff is amazing you can feel it sucking all the grossness out of your pores as it is working. Hence the tingling. After I wash it off my skin feels so tight and squeaky clean. Perfect to use before one of their facial oils.

Someone *ahem ahem RYAN* kept stealing all of my Pink Cloud lotion so I decided to get him his own facial oil targeted to his needs. He tends to have oilier skin than I do so this Lapis oil has been perfect. I purchased their travel size to try it out and see how he would like it before we commit to the big bottle. I love that they offer the smaller size - especially of the next oil…

At $88 for the full size bottle I was very happy that they offer the travel size so I could try out their Phoenix oil. I am obsessed and love how it feels on my skin. As much as I adore the smell of the Orchid oil, I think when I run out of Phoenix, I will be purchasing a big bottle and making that my every day moisturizer for night. This oil is primarily for aging and diminishing the appearance of wrinkles. Since I’m 30 now I suppose it’s time I start taking care of my skin to ward off signs of aging.

If you are looking for a natural skin care line with high quality products and no fillers or chemicals, I highly recommend checking out Herbivore. A handful of their products can be found at Sephora, however, if you follow them on Instagram they will occasionally post amazing coupon codes. My skin has never looked better since I started using their products and needless to say, I’m hooked.
