Treat Yourself: Valley Hike

This past weekend, Walter and I packed up a some fruit salad and our water bottles in my Ban.do cooler and took a long hike at dusk down in the MetroParks. We love dipping into the woods behind Hogsback Hill and exploring. There is even a swing down there by the river! It’s truly a perfect getaway. My happy little hippo couldn’t wait to get into the ice cold water. So, being a dog mom that spoils my baby, I got right in with him: shoes, clothes, and all. We started splashing each other and running in this little creek. Sure...
Online Vintage Shopping Guide

I have been absolutely obsessed with vintage shopping online since I have been pregnant. One of my favorite things to do, when I am not feeling like I am on a constant roller coaster of nausea, is to go thrifting and hit up our local vintage stores to get inspiration. It has been tough during my pregnancy to not have that outlet, and I feel like my creativity has suffered quite a bit! I have been doing a lot more scrolling on Etsy (trying DESPERATELY not to buy baby clothes until I am further along) and have built a relationship...

HIDDEN GEMS: Rockefeller Park Greenhouse
One of my absolute FAVORITE places in the city is Rockefeller Greenhouse. In 1905, John D. Rockefeller donated the city 270 acres of land for what is now known as Rockefeller Park. The greenhouse was originally used to grow and house plants that would be planted in the parks, but it evolved into an urban green space with beautiful displays. They have special displays for holidays, like the Easter display that is up now featuring hundreds of lilies. The sweet smell is enough to knock your socks off! They also have beautiful outdoor gardens in addition to the displays in...
FRIDAY FAVES: 4/19/2019

Hey, all! I just wrote out this entire intro as well as half of my faves and then accidentally hit discard and lost it all. So here’s what I can recall from memory! We had a hectic but happy week over here at OSG. I took my residents on TWO field trips for my day job, started work for my new (4th!!!!) job, began researching for our baby registry, and spent as much time outside as humanly possible. Caroline is doing all of the design work that her brain can handle - and probably more - while taking care of her...
