Our Favorite CBD Products

cbd oil review

You can’t scroll through social media without seeing something about CBD nowadays - detailing the benefits both physically and emotionally. Ally and I both have tried a few CBD products ourselves and wanted to do a quick round-up of some of our favorites.

First up is Herbivore Botanicals Emerald Deep Moisture Glow Oil with “100 mg of premium organic Colorado grown full-spectrum CBD to soothe stressed-out skin in need of calm and relief from redness, irritation, and environmental stressors” (via Herbivore Botanicals). I have tried quite a few of Herbivore’s facial oils now and this one has surpassed them all for me. It is gentle and extremely calming for my red, dry winter skin. I can see immediate results when I use this, especially if I have a particularly red dry patch on my face.

Some information from Herbivore’s website that sold me immediately on this oil was:

Why CBD? CBD (Cannabidiol) is one of the dozens of chemical compounds found in Cannabis plants that act on the body. CBD works with our body's endocannabinoid system to balance, regulate and restore many physical functions in the body, including the skin. Specialized receptors in skin have been found to regulate the bodily processes that affect the immune system, inflammation, and pain. Research suggests that imbalances of this system may also be responsible for the occurrence of chronic skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema, making CBD and its functions of great interest in developing targeted therapies.

Next up is this amazing CBD tincture from R+R Medicinals. Ally and I both purchased this at the same time and saw amazing results when we took it. The instantaneous calming effect was incredible. As someone who suffers from pretty unbearable PMDD, I was so happy to find something that could help combat my anxiety that I have just prior to my cycle.

Some of the most impressive claims from R+R are “This boosted, extra strength blend is 2x more potent than our daily use hemp oil (500mg) and gives you a stronger, natural way to relieve chronic pain, inflammation, improve sleep patterns, and more!”. I have tried a few different CBD pills (one reviewed below) and this tincture works immensely better than the pills did for me. You use 1-2 droppers under your tongue and let it sit for 1 minute before swallowing. It is a mild peppermint flavor, so nothing too offensive to swallow.

R+R Medicinals was kind enough to offer a coupon code for our readers to purchase anything from their website. Use the code: RRGRACEFUL15 for 15% off. Coupon expires 4/1/2019.

These soft gels from PlusCBD were the first CBD products I purchased from Whole Foods. I personally did not feel any real results when I took them, however, that may just be my body. I feel that the tincture (above) gave me more immediate results that were noticeable and seem to be a better fit for me. But if you would like something easy, affordable and accessible to start experimenting with CBD products - these are in the Health and Beauty section at Whole Foods!

Ally purchased these CBD supplements along side the R+R and saw great results from this brand also! (And the absolutely adorable branding doesn’t hurt!)

Not Pot’s claims from their website are “10 mg of full spectrum hemp + 100% vegan ingredients = the chillest, cleanest CBD polar bear gummy on the block.

Our clinical strength CBD gummies are non-psychoactive (aka you won’t get high) & tested by top scientists, medical doctors, and universities at the forefront of medical cannabis research.”

The thought with these daily supplements are a first line of defense for daily stress, anxiety, sleep issues, pain and general mood enhancing.

Their website is also a great wealth of knowledge if you would like to know more about CBD in general so I recommend checking it out if you want to do more research!

So far we have been thoroughly impressed with CBD products and look forward to experimenting some more. Let us know in the comments below if you have any favorite CBD products we should try next!
