FRIDAY FAVES: 1/4/2019

TGIF! Seriously. I only slept for a couple of hours last night and a break from my work week could not be more necessary. Here are some of the things that Caroline and I have been eyeing this week. As always, click the image to be taken to its source. Hope that your new year is starting off on the right foot. Enjoy the weekend!

Ally:

I love this podcast so much that I am a paying Patreon subscriber just to get extra podcasts. Jack and Brandon are two comedians who just kind of sit around and BS. They sometimes have guests, but they aren’t there to interview them or have them plug special projects, they just contribute to the conversation. Topics are sometimes relevant to what is happening now, sometimes they just do things like sit and go through their old yearbooks. It’s a lot of fun. Not at all clean, though. Just a heads up.

I got this collapsible water bottle in my stocking from my awesome MIL. If you can’t tell, she crushed it at Christmas. It’s so nice to be able to finish a bottle, squish it down, and have it take up no room in my backpack. Plus, I love the color.

I hope that Target never gets rid of the Opalhouse line. I just love it too much.

I brought this wine over to Caroline’s the other night and we had never tried it before. LOVE! Really smooth and pleasant to drink. I’m no wine connoisseur, but even I can tell that it’s a good one.

Care got me the TULA discovery kit for Christmas and I am obsessed. It’s probiotic skin care and it feels like a dream. It takes a lot to move me away from Herbivore, but I am loving TULA. The discovery kit includes their cleanser, glyolic gel, illuminating face serum, and a day & night cream. It is so hydrating, my skin feels tighter and more clear. I couldn’t be happier! I can’t wait to try some of their other products!

Caroline:

I loved Part 1 of Making a Murderer, so I’m not sure why it has taken me this long to start Part 2. Needless to say I am SUCKED IN. I think my mouth is open in shock almost every single episode. It is so fascinating!

Here’s a weird fave for ya. Collard greens. My husband and I are trying to eat healthier after falling WAY off the wagon this holiday season. Like fell off the wagon and then rolled down a hill and off a cliff. I like the idea of a lettuce wrapped meal but it is always so messy and the lettuce rips and its just a disaster. Ryan suggested I try using raw collard green leaves instead and I am BLOWN away! They are so much thicker and don’t tear. Have virtually zero taste. Are insanely healthy and there was NO mess. I’m obsessed.

Love this shirt from Bando. I think I need it. Trying to give off all those boss babe vibes in 2019.

Ally and I are attending the Local Girl Gang event this month at The Movement Factory and it features this amazing Habit Calendar from Free Period Press. I can’t wait to be among the other amazing creatives in Cleveland and can’t wait to get my hands on one of these awesome Habit Calendars!

I will be out of town on the day of this event at the Cleveland History Center and I am DEVASTATED. This sounds like the most amazing event ever combining everything I love. If you’re free that day, go in my honor and DM me a million photos from it!
