FRIDAY FAVES: 11/30/2018

Finally, the weekend! This week has been really crazy for both of us, so we are kind of finding our groove. Here are some of our favorite things that we have been checking out this week. Feel free to click on an image to be taken to its source so that you can enjoy it as much as we do! TGIF, honey!

Ally:

Between the weather getting cold and the heat running in the house, my skin has been so dry. Like, painfully dry. Thank goodness for my Clarisonic. This baby is a little bit of an investment, but it is so worth it. Clarisonic runs on sonic technology, so it gently removes layers of dirt and dry skin from your face and body. Other “beauty brushes” run off of rotation, which will save you money but is super damaging to your skin! I have used mine once a day for about five years now, and I can’t tell you how important it is to my routine. I notice the difference in my skin if I skip even just one day.

THESE ARE SO GOOD! Oh my goodness. They taste like parmesan crisps, but come in different types of cheese (including parmesan). I am such a cheese fanatic. Ours are from Costco, but they are listed on the Target website, so you should be able to get them without a Costco membership. Just trust me, they’re dangerously good.

These are just plain silly and fun. I ordered some as gift toppers and stocking stuffers for a few people on my list, including Caroline’s oldest daughter. Are they silly? Yes. Am I forever a child? Probably. Does this still look like the most fun thing in the world to me? Absolutely.

Love these Cherub Trousers from Hot Lava. I think that we have talked about Hot Lava on here before? In case we haven’t, it is a woman owned company run by Rachael Finley. Not only is everything ethically sourced, they are even made in women owned and operated factories. The brand is very size inclusive, and she only has plans to expand further to include all sizes. Score one for the good guys.

I’m not a huge drinker (though the bottle and a half of wine that Care and I polished off the other day is very misleading) but this is one of my favorite drinks. It is an ingredient in the best cocktail that I have ever had in my life, a unique take on a White Russian from Merchant’s in Nashville. Tennessee Sipping Cream is kind of like Bailey’s - a cream liqueur. This baby would go great in some holiday cocktails, and would be just as good served on its own on the rocks. Side note - why does everything remind me of Nashville? I just love it there too much.

Caroline:

This is my favorite new cheap wine! Less than $6 at Trader Joes and it goes down so smooth. Not very dry tasting. I’m obsessed.

Nothing wrong with a little self promotion, right? One of my faves this week is my new logo for my graphic design company! About 20 revisions later I finally settled on a new logo design for a re-branding effort. Along with the new logo I launched a brand new portfolio website that I have to say, I am quite proud of! Check it out at www.cgrecodesign.com.

I am in LOVE with everything The Uncommon Place puts out on their Instagram. Her use of color is just so appealing to me! Check out this absolutely adorable pin listed in her Etsy shop right now!

I have been looking around for a new ornament for our tree because we haven’t purchased a new one in a while. Of course the first place I looked was Etsy for something handmade and custom and I love this one by ClaireAdeline.

If you are a creative and haven’t heard of Skillshare you NEED to check it out. It is FULL of the most amazing, detailed tutorials for anything design, photography, Adobe, creative, art, etc you can think of. I get so sucked in and have learned so much since I started watching their tutorials. ALSO, they have an app for Apple TV so you can watch it on a big screen. LOVE!

That’s all for this week! Check back next week for more!
