Fresh Start

Oh So Graceful has evolved, what feels like, a hundred times since it began. But so have I as a person so it seems fitting.

What started as a page strictly for my family photography sessions turned into a space with my best friend, Ally, where we posted about things we liked, things we were doing and new art. Together we built a community of followers who resonated with each of our very different personalities.

Life changes and you're thrown curveballs and have to learn to adapt. If 2020 has taught us nothing else, it is how to be adaptable.

Ally and I will always be close, and still are, but part of being best friends is being honest about where you are at mentally and what is the best use of your time and mental energy. OSG wasn't the space Ally needed right now and decided to take a step away. I could not be happier for the philanthropic and social justice work she is doing on her own and completely respect her decision!

SO then came some internal work...what do I want for the future of OSG?

To be fully transparent - I have no idea.

It still brings me joy to connect with other creatives on Instagram and to have a space on the internet to post my artwork. It still fills my cup creatively. So onward and upward we go!

I fully expect Oh So Graceful to continue to evolve and adapt as I change also. And a first step for me was a refresh of our logo and the style of the website. The old logo and website felt like they didn't represent where I am now and what my style is now.

I find creativity is a rollercoaster for me. Sometime's I'm completely inspired and sometimes I am in a funk. But this week. Today. This moment...I am inspired. I am bubbling with ideas. And so I am going to ride that slow tick of the creative rollercoaster up and see where it takes me!

I'm glad to have you along for the ride.
